Tech tips | Force a line break in WordPress text editor

Assalamualaikum,

I find it annoying sometimes that WordPress doesn’t add the line break when hitting shift enter/enter/return in a post using the visual editor. Especially when using the numbered list and bulleted list.

When you open text editor and try to add a
, WordPress editor will reformat the post back and put that
in another

. Soooo annoying!

But alas, I found a fix to it so I’m just sharing for those who didn’t know.

Just put this where you want it to line break. Works like a charm.
I know that there are plugins to add to do this, but why add another plugin when you can just add one line of code? Hahaha.

Thanks to a member of WordPress.org for the solution.
