Maximizing last 10 days of Ramadan for ladies on menses

Assalamualaikum,

لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ – Quran 97:3

SAHIH INTERNATIONAL
The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months.

The night of Laylatul Qadar is the most awaited night for all Muslims during Ramadhan month. That one night of laylatul qadar is bigger than 1000 nights combined. How great that is yeah? But it is fortunate for us girls that there will be days where our menstruation period will come and interrupt our beautiful Ramadhan. But fret not, we can still gain and do amal so that we too can gain benefit of the laylatul qadar night. Here are some tips I gathered for ladies that is on menses during Ramadhan.

Prepare for iftar

The most basic right? Might sound simple but it have greater value than you think. Helping your parents or preparing for your husband will gain huge rewards insyaAllah.

Give charity

One of the biggest reward during Ramadhan is doing the alms. Give charity in many different unique ways. You can still give stuffs other than money. For example, giving away good old clothes for those who needed them the most. I am sure many of us girls have extra unused clothes in our closet.

Read Islamic knowledge books

Read on the topic of death, the world after death, or maybe just read on tajwid to correct your Quran reading. Anything with good knowledge for your self improvements and targeting the world hereafter.

Dzikir

I love reading the Al Mathurat while on my menses. I keep the Al Mathurat app in my handphone so that I can read it anywhere while I’m on commute and especially during my long bus ride. just change your niat to dzikir and insyaAllah you will gain reward for it. There are many forms of dzikir, so depends on what you love to do.

Usrah or study circle

I try to change for the better everyday, and sometimes doing that alone is not enough or motivate me enough. By joining usrah group, we get to learn together and during journey we exchange our experience and that usually help push us more in a way that we can’t achieve it alone. There are a lot of usrah topic and being apart of it during Ramadhan fill your day by doing something good and not just waste it doing something with no benefit.

I hope this article helps you a bit if not much. Tonight is night 25, so make sure we do amal and deeds to the fullest during this last 10 days! Have a great day ahead. Salam.
